THE FOUNDER'S CLASSROOM

Hey Reader,

Fab here, back with Power-Up #3.

I had a blast last week. It was lovely speaking at Launch Like a Pro. It's one of my favourite things, always.

Caption the picture above, hit reply and share it with me. Wrong answers only please and thank you.

If you came here from Launch Like a Pro, hi and welcome to your new cosy home.

I promised I'd send you the slides and my "I Do, You Do, We Do" framework, so here they are: view the slidesโ€‹

I use this framework in every single cohort I run, and it's the structure behind the exercises in the session.

If you weren't there, it's a simple framework you can use this week.

Power-Up #3: teach it in three parts

  • I do: show them a clear, accurate example of what you want them to learn and apply.
  • You do: they try it on their own, at their own pace, so the learning sinks in.
  • We do: they bring it together in a group, share what they did and learn from each other.

Pick one thing you teach and split it into those three parts.

How To Actually Do This

At Launch Like a Pro I ran the session in the same three parts, so everyone could feel the framework working while they learned it.

  • I do: I showed the different ways we make our cohorts exciting, including the ones people absolutely love, with real examples and screenshots of what we do. I also showed how each one could be built with I Do, You Do, We Do.
  • You do: I gave everyone time to think it through on their own and start mapping out how they'd use it.
  • We do: Together we decided, with a very simple show of hands, which of the ideas each person was actually going to try, and committed to it.

I run my live sessions exactly like this, so you can copy the shape before you've even picked your content.

It works for public homework in a cohort too. Answer these three questions for your next piece of homework:

  • I do: What example will you show first, so they know what "good" looks like?
  • You do: What's the exact, low-friction prompt you'll hand them right after a win?
  • We do: How will you make finishing the homework visible and rewarding?

Stuck on what to teach? I made a little app that helps you brainstorm your own teachable moment: try the appโ€‹

Step-By-Step Process

  1. Pick one concept you can teach.
  2. Decide which examples you'll show first, with real screenshots if you have them.
  3. Give people time to think and map it out on their own.
  4. Bring everyone together, with a simple show of hands, to decide which idea each person will actually try, and commit to it.
  5. Run your next session the same way, so people experience the framework while they learn it.

Which concept are you teaching first?

Always cheering you on

P.S. I'm running Get Unstuck Live in November and December. It's a 2-hour workshop where we plan together, with only 5 spots in each session at ยฃ130 each. If you'd like one, you can book your spot here.
